“Life loses half its interest if there is no struggle- if there are no risks to be taken.” - Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

The National Service Scheme of Daulat Ram College celebrated Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 125th Birth Anniversary, which is also known as Parakram Diwas, with great zeal and enthusiasm on 23rd January, 2022.

The unit also conducted a webinar on 24th January 2022 to commemorate Netaji’s Birth Anniversary under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. A total of 66 volunteers attended the webinar.

The speaker of the day was Dr. Bhuvan Lall (DrBhuvan Lall). A Director, Producer, eminent writer and columnist, Dr. Bhuvan Lall has contributed immensely to the field of global entertainment business. He has authored the bestselling biography "The Man India Missed The Most: Subhash Chandra Bose" which provides an insight into the life of Bose and continues to inspire the youth of today. He enlightened the volunteers about the significant role played by Netaji in the Freedom struggle of India.

Dr. Lall, a master in the art of storytelling, narrated incidents from the life of Netaji, focusing on his escape to Peshawar and then to Berlin, and the consequent establishment of the Indian National Army (INA) in Singapore. Netaji’s life story sets an example of how a person should strive to serve their country and inculcates a sense of patriotism in the listeners.

The floor was then open for questions. Dr. Lall patiently took up all queries posed by the volunteers, enhancing their historical knowledge by leaps and bounds. The Convenor, Dr. Rita Rani took to the virtual stage to express gratitude to the speaker on behalf of all attendees. She also praised Dr. Lall for presenting such a lively sketch of Netaji’s life.
