Programmes Offered
The Department offers the following major programmes:
B.Com. (Hons.)A specialised programme in commerce, finance, accounting, taxation, and management. It prepares students for professional qualifications and careers such as CA, CS, CFA, MBA, finance, consulting, and corporate management.
B.Com.This programme provides a broad understanding of business operations, accounting principles, finance, management, trade, and organisational practices. It prepares students for careers in banking, entrepreneurship, business operations, and corporate management.
B.A. Programme Commerce is offered as a discipline option to B.A. Programme students in combination with Community Science. The programme promotes entrepreneurial thinking and equips students with skills in business planning, policymaking, financial analysis, innovation, and start-up management.
National Education Policy 2020
The Department follows the framework of the National Education Policy 2020, which focuses on multidisciplinary learning, skill development, value-added education, flexibility, and holistic development.
Students are offered a wide range of multidisciplinary, skill-enhancement, and value-addition courses. They may select subject options based on their interests, academic understanding, and future career aspirations.
The curriculum is designed and structured by the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. It undergoes periodic revision to address emerging developments and challenges in commerce, finance, management, technology, and the global business environment.
In alignment with NEP 2020, more than 30 students have successfully completed the fourth year of the undergraduate programme, reflecting the Department’s commitment to advanced learning and research-oriented education.

COMNEUR – Commerce Association
COMNEUR is the student-led Commerce Association of the Department. It organises seminars, workshops, competitions, and guest lectures by industry experts and academicians on contemporary topics related to commerce and business.
COMMERCIA – Annual Commerce Fest
COMMERCIA provides students with a platform to showcase and develop their talent, creativity, leadership, and organisational skills. The fest includes activities such as:

COMBUZZ – Annual Newsletter
