Ms. Devangana Jha

Ms. Devangana Jha is Assistant Professor at Daulat Ram College,University of Delhi . Prior to her current role, she has has a long, extensive teaching experience at Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, where she was also leading multiple leadership and administrative roles. Ms. Jha completed her BA from University of Delhi, and MA form Madras School of Economics. She earned her M.Phil. from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and is currently pursuing her PhD from the same institution.

Ms. Jha’s research interests include Development Economics, International Trade, and Political Economy with a particular focus on labour and industry. She has a strong academic presence, having presented at several distinguished conferences at both national and international level such as the Indian Society of Labour Economics. Ms. Jha publishes regularly in reputed journals, and has contributed book chapters in edited volumes by Routledge and Springer. Furthermore, she has been resource person in many workshops, SDPs, and has been guiding force for numerous research projects. Her dedication to academia is further exemplified by her receipt of the Second Rank in Masters programme, as well as Award of Excellence in Communication and Education in 2023.

Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Jha has contributed to academic administration by serving on multiple committees, including the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Ranking Work Committee, and Admission Committee at her institution.

Ms. Jha remains dedicated to advancing economic research and education, fostering critical thinking among students, and contributing to the institutional development.
