About the College
Daulat Ram College is a premier educational institution in Delhi founded by an educationist late Shri Daulat Ram Gupta in 1960. It is a prestigious women’s college engaged in imparting liberal education to women. The college, a large constituent college of the University of Delhi, originally started as “Pramila College” at 22, Tilak Marg with thirteen members of teaching and two non-teaching staff with about 350 students. In 1964, the college shifted to its present premises in North Delhi University campus and was renamed as Daulat Ram College.
The institution has since grown into a full-fledged extended college of University of Delhi. The college has acquired a strong identity and has evolved into a prestigious women’s college with its own distinct culture and traditions. It imparts education towards degrees at the bachelor’s level in arts, commerce and science and Masters level in arts.
Mission
The goals and objectives of Daulat Ram College are to educate, engage, inculcate, and instill moral values with modern education in students, to help develop their personality and interpersonal skills.
उद्देश्य
शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में महाविद्यालय का लक्ष्य और उद्देश्य छात्राओं में आधुनिक शिक्षा के साथ नैतिक मूल्यों को लागू करना, संलग्न करना, विकसित करना, स्थापित करना और उसके माध्यम से शिक्षित करना है जो उनके व्यक्तित्व और पारस्परिक कौशल का विकास करेगा
Vision
The vision of Daulat Ram College is enshrined in its motto 'ॠते ज्ञानान्न मुक्ति' that translates into 'Salvation through Knowledge'. The college seeks to disseminate knowledge in science, commerce, and liberal arts among girl students to make them empowered women capable of bringing societal change.
दृष्टि
दौलत राम महाविद्यालय अपने आदर्श वाक्य 'ॠते ज्ञानान्न मुक्ति' अर्थात् 'ज्ञान के बिना मुक्ति संभव नहीं ' के साथ निहित है यानी छात्राओं में विज्ञान, वाणिज्य और कला के माध्यम से ज्ञान का प्रसार करना ताकि उन्हें सशक्त बनाया जा सके और सामाजिक परिवर्तन लाने में सक्षम बनाया जा सके।
