Dr. Pawan Kumar

Dr. Pawan Kumar is an Assistant Professor of English at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi since 2023. He has over five years of teaching experience. He completed his doctoral degree from the Centre for English Studies, School of Language, Literature, and Cultural Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He was a Visiting Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland under the SPECTRESS project funded by the European Union’s Marie Curie Research Project in 2016. He was also awarded the prestigious Pierce Loughran Scholarship of the Yeats Society, Sligo, Ireland in 2016. His research papers, research articles, translations, book reviews and interviews have been published in reputed national and international journals, namely, Journal of Irish Studies, Springer USA, Routledge Encyclopedia of Indian Writing in English, ABC CLIO (USA), Sahitya Academy’s Journal Indian Literature, Rupkatha Journal, Muse India and The European Federation of Associations and Centres of Irish Studies (EFACIS). He completed his postgraduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Delhi. In addition to his abiding enthusiasm for and scholarship on W.B. Yeats, he is also interested in modernism, mysticism, Indian philosophy, and Hindi literature. Currently, he is working on an ICSSR Major Project, entitled, "The Performative, Esoteric and Socio-Cultural Significance of Ramman - the Ritual Theatre of Garhwal."
