Prof. Rajni Sahni

Prof. Rajni Sahni is a Professor in the Psychology department, Daulat Ram College, at the University of Delhi. She has been a part of the faculty since 1996. Dr. Sahni , after completing M.A and M.Phil. in Psychology was also awarded PhD in Psychology from the University of Delhi. Dr. Sahni has been involved in various administrative positions at Daulat Ram College, including Coordinator of IQAC, Nodal Officer of VAC, Secretary of Staff Council, and Convener of various committees such as ICC, Mental Health Centre, and Counselling Centre. Her areas of expertise in teaching include Clinical Psychology, Mental health, Cognitive Psychology, Research Methodology, and Developmental Psychology. Dr. Sahni has guided several PhD students in their research work and has a few more working under her guidance in the area of clinical psychology. Her publications span a diverse range of subjects , including developing intervention techniques for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, adults showing self-harm behaviour and for patients with Parkinson’s disease. She has also been working in the area of well-being and mental heath of caregivers of children with intellectual disability as also of the well-being and coping skills of of dual earner females. She also has to her credit an e-book on ‘Developmental Psychology’ for PG students that was brought out under the UGC project, e-pathshala.
